Workout Playlists'

So in an effort to increase my time for my 5k, I made a new play list for my ipod. That got me to thinking, the internet had to have some good suggestions in this area.

I found play lists from professional athletes on womenshealthmag.com ... which incidentally is one of my FAV magazines.

Another good site ( inthegym.net) that shows play lists based on genre of music, type of workout, celebrity, etc.

And just for kicks, here's mine. :)

1. Check Yes Juliet - We the Kings
2. The Kill - 30 Seconds to Mars
3. When I Grow Up - The Pussycat Dolls
4. Burnin' up - The Jonas Brothers
5. Damaged - Danity Kane
6. Crushcrushcrush - Paramore
7. 7 Things - Miley Cyrus
8. Dani California - Red Hot Chili Peppers
9. Break It Off - Rihanna feat. Sean Paul
10. More Than Useless - Relient K
11. Way I Are - Timberland Feat. Kerri Hilson and D.O.E
12. Wind it Up - Gwen Stefani
13. S.O.S. - Rihanna
14. Ain't No Other Man - Christina Aguilera
15. Fergalicious - Fergie

I know I know, my friend Lisa thinks I'm a typical, marginal, top 40 type. I don't care.
Don't bother insulting my taste in music ... I don't want to hear it.

"Its not east being green ..."

The famous line from Kermit the Frog today is not quite true, although I still love that little green puppet. But in today's world there are many small easy things you can do to "go green". I'm rather excited that investing in eco-friendly products is quickly becoming the latest trend. Being an Interior Design major and all, I myself am very into eco-friendly design, which is becoming one of the main focuses of my future industry. Designers, after all, are forever trying to solve problems and make everything more efficient. Well anyways, in light of all this 'green' activity I decided to link one of my favorite Eco Blogs, GreenDaily.com ... this blog talks about everything from household green products to Steven Colbert getting a new spider species named after himself.

My Little Haven

So I promised a long time ago to share some pictures of my room. I did paint it and fill it with furniture, some that my parents bought and some that I bought(which is much, much cheaper looking haha). I ended up choosing a mint green color because I find it very peaceful, playful, and young which suites me. It's just nice to wake up in a bright room.

Going to the Chapel ...

So I've been pretty busy the last week or so running back and forth between my home town and where I currently live. My best friends are twins(identical nonetheless) and one just had a baby an the other is getting married August 2, and I am a bridesmaid. So not only am I desperate to see the little boy that is practically my nephew, but I also am attending all the pre-wedding festivities. Its all very exciting, and I am so happy for them both.

Here is a picture of the baby...

Fuck you I have tennis

This is for Lisa ...

Long story short, last semester I had a tennis class once a week for one credit. It was fun and everything but it was on Thursday nights(which, for those non-collegiate folks is prime party time) which kinda sucked. Most of my friends forgot that I had this class. My ass-hole friend Hannah texted me before my class one night and that text said "Go get me a slurpee". So naturally, I replied "Fuck you, I have tennis". Now for some reason Hannah found this hilarious, as did Lisa who was with her. I thought it was rather rude and decided to teach them a little lesson if you will hahaha. After tennis I drove to 7-Eleven and bought a slurpee. I then proceeded to take a picture with my phone of me drinking said slurpee and texted it to Hannah and Lisa. I found it quite amusing.

Here is the picture I sent them. :)
(Not my best look, but keep in mind I just played tennis for 2 hours)

Run, Forest, Run!

Ah! I know I've been neglecting this thing. Guess I'm not much of a blogger huh? Eh, I don't think anyone reads this anyways. BUT that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop trying. :D

I thought that I would share that I am training for a 5K in August. Its called Leg it for Life . Its held in my area which is Lansing/East Lansing Michigan, in case you want to sign up (Its for a good cause). It's my first ever and I am a little apprehensive. For those who might not know (because I didn't till I signed up) a 5K is about 3.1 miles. So far I've worked myself up to about 2.5 miles at a brisk pace. I don't know much about training, but I've been asking around and people have been very helpful, giving me tips and such. If you have any feel free to comment.

My friend Jessica also found this cool site that will map out a run for you. Its called MapMyRun.com ... how awesome is that?
